I have a soft spot for PostmarketOS but not as a phone daily driver. I think it can be much more than that and can bring new life to old devices. It is an upcycling opportunity for me.
Quite happy that @zkao found something they enjoy using. If I was inclined to use a non-mainstream OS, I'd go with something "less linuxy/TUI", probably some touch based interface like Maemo, LuneOS, or even go all the way back to FirefoxOS.
I'm on a very odd camp that I "don't want linux in all my devices", I really like Linux as a server but not as a desktop or mobile device (not talking about the kernel here, but the overall experience). The only acceptable Linux for mobile for me was webOS but that ship has sailed...
