I can state that it actually does work. As opposed to electrum it also works for phone...
It also has a much improved sign up process for setting up a multisig wallet... you can do it async and out of order, by sending people invite links, which is much less complex than with electrum. It also shows you a status bar for who has actually joined.
true @peg
in terms of being involed with a shit company, it is a big step backwards
it terms of user interface and UX it is an improvement.
good learning to be had :)
@Alanna we can set up the wallet and then run a round of wages through it? it's stable.
@6OxffMLNy you can go ahead and start setting up the wallet and invite each of us to it... it will be a super interesting comparison to misthos for example to do it that way...
@alanna have now joined. Wonder if you got an email update about it?
Either way - on a feelings level, copay is the best feeling of all the team wallets we have tried (misthos, electrum, copay)
That was a pretty nice experience.
Also managed to get one set up for @mu and @zelf for #grants team . neither mu nor zelf had done it before - so it's true that it is a more user friendly approach than electrum.
@alanna huh! You're right. That's a shame, as there was the view in the process of waiting for people to join the wallet...
RE: adding people to the address book - found an edge. Seems like they don't allow you to add segwit addresses... only legacy addresses.
So, if you add Kieran and try his BTC address then it should work (as he is using a legace BTC format address).
no one should post BTC addresses in public
Yeah, I can't quite get my head around why they have logically split out wallet stuff to a number of different locations... that lost me...
