hmm, how does the shadow packet approach compare to using a general purpose compression on the replication stream?

If I recall, with LoRa, not only are the messages small, but the bit rate is also very low. SSB model of long chains, that are applied in order to rebuild state doesn't make sense, because there is no way you are gonna do an initial sync at lora speeds
