I'm not sure where this is leading. I don't really think that rewriting all of patchwork is necessarily a good idea. But it is fun to just scrap everything once in a while and see what is possible. Maybe tomorrow I'll have some ideas about how to make this a little more gradual.

But yeah, that's quite enough for today. I'm going to bed.
