Video: CryptPad is an open source privacy based cloud collaboration suite

CryptPad is built to enable collaboration. It synchronizes changes to documents in real time. Because all data is encrypted, the service and its administrators have no way of seeing the content being edited and stored.

CryptPad provides a full-fledged office suite with all the tools necessary for productive collaboration. Applications include: Rich Text, Spreadsheets, Code/Markdown, Kanban, Slides, Whiteboard and Polls.

In this video I explain why you'd want to use it, what it's key features are, and I do a tour around its user interface.

Hi folks,

I just synced remote SSB messages after a long time away.

@cel-desktop is correct that I develop CryptPad. I started full time work on it in late 2015.

@interfect cjd of #cjdns started the project but left to work full time on cjdns-related things back in 2018, at which point I took over as project lead.

@Danie I'm starting to watch the video now and will pass it along to the rest of the team today. It's always interesting to see other people's perspective on it.

Wow @ansuz good to meet you here.

Yes I've tried quite a few online document creation tools, especially those with collaboration and the need to also share publicly, and nothing really ticks all the boxes like #cryptpad does. Especially now with all the privacy and 'Big Brother' issues most of the big players just don't worry about that.
