Outdoor wireless VR with Quest2
This thing is heavily subsidised by Facebook, but really it's just a Android device with a high refresh rate, pixel dense display with a capable snapdragon processor and a bunch of cameras looking out. Also it's now 'jailbroken'
It doesn't need anything for the tracking to work, it's all outward looking vision based, you can also just use your hands in place of controllers
You can bring up a virtual display as big as you want it to be and remote to a machine
Things I've tried so far which are amazing:
Unbound Alpha: one hand can add/remove whatever shape you're holding, the other can spin things and has all your tools. With this you can make complicated mesh shapes which you can export for 3d printing etc but making them is easier than using clay, like using some kind of super clay which responds exactly like you want it to
Tiltbrush google's drawing thing where you can draw in 3d with fire and stars and stuff, pretty great
EchoArena is exactly the game from Enders Game. You float around, you have some jets on your hand and back, you can grab the world and other people, you throw the frisbie, you hit your hand on something real you forgot was there
I can easily charge it with this
