For the record, at least speaking for my self, the goal was not to create decentralized "twitter" or even decentralized "social media" it was to develop decentralized social informational infrastructure. Social Media was just an approachable proof of concept to test the design and drive development. Not the end goal.
there are many levers that can be pulled to make the world better. I think you have a particular skillset, but it's still worth considering what the effective meta-patterns might look like. This is part of why I did that Narrative for Social Change workshop.
