I was thinking about that. I think the time requirements might change with @Ziva over time if she finds rhythms.
I think there's actually a fair amound of interface and module work I could do which is easier to do - I think with low sleep I can still do interface work for example, though I don't know if I'm good for deep strategy and architecture.
In terms of defering - I wasn't necessarily expecting to just be given money for leave, I was definitely expecting to deliver things. I certianly noticed with our client contract that what I could produce when working fulltime was really exciting. I expect the same could be true for patchbay. Things on my wishlist there are :
- installers (this would take load off patchwork as THE ONLY easy client)
- an auto-scaler for image attachments in patchcore
- scale down to fit inside 1024x768 by default
- this could be a toggleable feature for attachments in the
/settings
page (below)
- re-implement old features (join a pub, see network activity)
- re-architect how Pages work
- a router which can load a message before it routes to it
- better private messages
- I started making
/inbox
, and now i've been using it want to work on it more, including a nice composer - perhaps make this a stand alone app which is like email?
- I started making
- better public feed.. probably add a
/feed
view which is rolled up like patchwork (and have the firehose there if you want it still) - extract all the scroller logic into something standalone and less finicky
- add a
/settings
page- plugins will be able to depject add settings in
- allow toggling of plugins like gatherings / books / chess
- add view into the persistent settings that arj added for filtering.
- improve
/notifications
tab allowing view of:- just at-mentions
- extensions of threads I posted in
- private messages
- work with @matt to extract
patch-who
- (the module which when you hover over a person it show you info about them - redesign the profile page
- better / more clear editing
- ability to edit your description
- clearer social graph features like "friends in common"
- contribute to patchcore v3 rewrite
- support pull request from contributors
- support module development from contributors
... etc
(I love it when you start writing a short list and discover your head has a lot more packed away in it that anticipated)
