cc @DanHassan ... I need to make a better channel-mentions which helps avoid typos like these. I've fallen into this particular one many times myself. In fact that's why I'm seeing this right now
after a DM from @masukomi asking why i don't put image descriptions in the cypherlink themselves I have started to do that. It makes descriptive image captions really portable and reusable!

@dan-hassan ... when I say a threashold algorithm isn't needed, there might be another way to implement a quorum. I mean, several people can sign a thing, but don't need to combine those signatures into a single signature (with a threshold algorithm)? just have certain things not be allowed until there has been several confirmations.
@dominic true it wouldn't be needed but there are social systems and kin networks (I think @Laniyuk was speaking about this at #scuttlecamp) where it is absolutlely needed that access to certain knowledge spaces are granted through a quorum.
Does the addition of a threshold scheme seem theoretically feasible?
@jfr that's an interesting point about people being able to side step the threshold invite scheme by running a pub with the network key and directly.
dominic - does that then mean to make that side channel access impossible there would need to be a change to the core code which means the cypherspace is encrypted with some combination of threshold access AND the network key?
this is a great idea. it would be fairly straightforward to add to peer-invites... actually you wouldn't need threahold signatures... just additional messages that "endorsed" the invite. A pub that's processing the invite just wouldn't accept an invite that wasn't endorsed yet...
I guess you'd want to post the invite somewhat privately, and express who you intended to invite into the space, so others can knowingly endorse it.
